PRAYAGRAJ: The UP Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has made Aadhaar card mandatory for the students appearing in its class 10 and 12 examinations to be held in 2024 to check cases of impersonation.
For this, it has started the process for authentication of Aadhaar cards of the students of classes 10 and 12 enrolled in the present academic session, i.e., 2023-24. Along with this, the Aadhaar card of the students taking admission in classes 9 and 11 will also be certified for their board exam.
The process for authentication follows approval given by the state government to the UP Board. This process will put an effective check in cases of impersonation during UP Board exams of high school and intermediate, officials said. TNN
