GORAKHPUR: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday extended greetings of Chaitra Navratra and Ram Navmi to people of the state.
Talking to the media in Gorakhpur, the CM said that we should not take religion as a form of worship only.
“Religion tells us about our duties and pushes us towards positivity and creativity while connecting us with good work, duties and moral values. We should follow the broader meaning of the religion,” he said while insisting that the centre and the state governments are promoting positivity and creativity based on this perception of the religion.
“The enthusiasm for Ramnavmi shows that the interest of the people in spirituality is increasing. New India is being built under Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said after Kanya Pujan rituals, and Ram Navami celebrations in Gorakhnath temple.
He said that the idea of Ramrajya is getting implemented in India in letter and spirit as benefits of government schemes are reachingthe people without discrimination. “Efforts are being made to bring about comprehensive change in the life of every citizen,” the CM said.
He claimed that while the entire world saw the capability of India during the pandemic, the impact of welfare schemes was also for all to see in the form of houses, toilets and LPG connections being given to the needy without discrimination. He also mentioned that free ration was being made available to the poor in the time of need.
Praying to Maa Jagatjanani Bhagwati and Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram for a happy and prosperous life for all citizens, the CM said that along with the worship of Mother Siddhidatri on Navami Tithi, the birth anniversary of Shri Ram is being celebrated with enthusiasm. There is a lot of enthusiasm at every temple in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram.
Over 15 lakh devotees have visited Hanumangarhi and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya after bathing in the holy Saryu river.
Lakhs of devotees worship the Siddhidatri form of Mother Bhagwati, the mother of the world, in all the Shakti Peethas. The organization of Durga Saptshati and Akhand Ramayana recitation at all religious places has also been ensured by the state government.
The CM participated in the birthday celebration of Lord Ram at Muktakashi stage in Gorakhnath temple campus.
