In order to bring the price down and make the 390 Adventure range more affordable, KTM has gotten rid of a few features like traction control, ride-by-wire, quickshifter as well as the cornering ABS – all of which will now be offered with the higher variant only. Moreover, the motorcycle continues to be offered with a dual-channel ABS system with switchable ABS on the rear wheel.

That said, it is yet to be seen if changes have been made to the TFT digital instrument cluster as well. In order to keep the price in check, KTM could offer the 390 Adventure X with the 250 Adventure’s LCD display. However, no other changes have been made to the ADV whatsoever.
The entry-level variant gets the same 373.2 cc liquid-cooled engine that belts out 43.5 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets WP Apex 43 mm upside down forks at the front, and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. With the new entry-level X variant, the KTM 390 Adventure range is now available at a premium of just Rs 36,000 over the 250 Adventure.
