Irri: Devpt Programme On Grain Quality At Irri Ends | Varanasi News – Times of India



Varanasi: A three-day capacity development programme on grain quality analysis organized at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) South Asia Regional Center concluded on Friday.
Addressing the programme, the Centre director, Sudhanshu Singh said, “Through these programs, we get a better opportunity to exchange our ideas and work being done in our field, which is very important for the development of research and science.” He also expressed the expectation of cooperation from all the institutions to improve the livelihood of the farmers and strengthen the rice-based food system.
As many as 21 scientists from four agricultural institutes of Indian Council of Agricultural Research including Indian Rice Research Institute, National Rice Research Institute, Indian Agricultural Research Institute and Odisha Agricultural and Technical University participated in the programme. They discussed various aspects related to paddy cultivation,and grain quality.
