PRAYAGRAJ: Bodies of two persons– a widow and her brother-in-law — were found hanging from a tree at Bakulahi village under the limits of Kotwali police station of Pratapgarh district on Monday morning, police said.
The deceased were identified as Anita Verma (35), widow of late Arjun Verma (35), and Sachin Verma (19). They were residents of Bakulahi village. Kotwali police as per the initial investigation, it appeared to be a case of suicide and the exact reason for the extreme was not known yet.
Police and forensic experts have collected evidences and bodies have been sent for postmortem. They added that cops are interacting with other family members to compile more details. A senior cop said Anita’s husband Arjun too had committed suicide about one and half years back. The deceased was mother of two children.
