NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Wednesday allotted 22 plots in the second phase of the Medical Device Park through a draw process. Now, a total of 59 plots have been allotted for the Medical Device Park that is being developed in Sector 28 on 350 acres.
Officials said the allotment letters would be issued within a week and possession of the land would be handed over to the companies soon.
Works related to the external and internal development of the Medical Device Park have been almost completed.
The scheme for the second phase of land allotment was launched in December last year. It had altogether 99 plots of 1,000 sqm and 2,100 sqm. The deadline to file applications under the scheme was extended twice. Subsequently, 22 applicants were found eligible during the scrutiny process.
Officials said allottees will have to pay the total cost of the plot within five years. However, they will have to make their unit operational in two years after getting possession of the plot.
Officer on special duty (OSD) Shailendra Kumar Singh said in order to ensure transparency, YEIDA live telecasted the entire draw process through the webcast system, and photos and videos were also taken.
Besides providing incentives to allottees in terms of capital interest subsidy, stamp duty, air cargo handling and utility charges, the establishment of a common facility centre (CFC), including a common scientific facility, has also been approved. The central government has allotted Rs 100 crore for this purpose. The construction of the CFC is likely to start soon.
A proposal of several Japanese companies to set up units on large parcels of land is also under consideration in YEIDA.
