A woman in South-East Delhi’s Jaitpur locality was caught on CCTV committing arson and the video has since gone viral. The woman can be seen approaching a parked motorcycle and getting close to it. It is presumed that the woman exposed the fuel line of the two-wheeler because after a while she steps back and lights a match, setting the motorcycle ablaze. The woman immediately left the spot after committing the arson. It has further been reported that the same woman was allegedly trying to set another two-wheeler on fire but the locals caught her and handed the culprit to the cops.

The reason behind the woman’s actions are currently unknown as Delhi Police is still investigating the matter. It is typically easier to extract petrol or expose the fuel of a locked motorcycle which has a carburettor instead of an electronic fuel injection system. Petrol can easily be extracted from the petrol knob by removing the feeder pipe coming out of the carburettor. It seems the woman in the video, removed the same pipe and lit the two-wheeler on fire.

This is not the first time such a bizarre incident has taken place in the capital city. Earlier in 2022, a delivery agent had put his two-wheeler on fire after the cops allegedly misbehaved with him and towed away his motorcycle. More recently, Delhi Police caught a 23-year-old man who intentionally set fire to a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, parked inside a multi-level parking. The fire spread to other nearby cards and twenty cars were completely destroyed by the end.
