Prayagraj: Women candidates have done exceptionally well in the coveted Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2022 (PCS-2022), the final result of which was declared by the UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC) here on Friday. For the first time, eight women have figured in the overall ‘top 10’ merit list. While Divya Sikarwar of Agra has topped the exam, Pratiksha Pandey of Lucknow is the second topper, Namrata Singh of Bulandshahar has come third and Akanksha Gupta of Uttaranchal is fourth.
Officials said all the four top positions have been bagged by female candidates, and barring fifth and tenth positions, women have bagged all the remaining positions. The success story of the female candidates does not stop here, as among the top 20 positions in the overall merit list, 12 are women .
For the coveted post of SDM, 19 women have cleared the merit list while 20 are male candidates.
