UP CM Yogi Adityanath to hold roadshow in Prayagraj on April 30 | Allahabad News – Times of India

PRAYAGRAJ: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to hold a roadshow in Sangam city on April 30 ahead of the urban local body polls.
“The roadshow is likely to cover 76 of the 100 wards in three urban-based assembly constituencies– Allahabad North, Allahabad South and Allahabad West. Once the local party unit receives nod from the top leadership, the route will be finalised,” party spokesman Rajesh Kesarwani told TOI.
The voting in the city is scheduled on May 4.
“The ‘Brand Yogi‘ will help party candidates contesting for mayoral and coprorator posts to connect with voters,” he said.
Kesarwani added that this time, party is going all out to ensure a big win in the urban civic polls by focusing on wards that have not been the party’s strongholds as well as targeting all community votebanks which have not been BJP’s traditional supporters.
The party has done micro-management at booth level, mobilised voters at several levels and deputed a 10-member team in each ward of the 100 wards in the Prayargaj Municipal Corporation. Senior leader and coconvener (Kashi Prant -BJP NGO cell) Rajni Kant Srivastava said:
“The party has prioritised the wards where it could not win and working overtime to expand its influence in Muslim dominated localities.” He added “For the first time, party has also fielded three Muslim candidates and is also focusing on around 22-odd wards where party could never make much of a dent so far.”
He claimed that party was receiving good feedback as people of all communities, including Muslims, were connecting with it after being influenced by the public welfare policies of BJP-led Union and state governments. Party is also eyeing those wards which have been traditional citadels of Congress, SP and BSP
