Prayagraj: District traffic police authorities on Tuesday announced route diversion plan in view of deposition of EVMs at Mundera mandi (Dhoomanganj) on May 4 once the polling gets over.
“Entry of heavy and commercial vehicles would be restricted in the city limits on May 4 from 4pm to 11pm when the EVMs would be deposited. Vehicles including city bus\private bus moving from city side to Puramufti will be diverted through Mahilagram, Jhalwa and Mandar turn. Similarly, small vehicles and buses coming from Puramufti to city areas would opt for same route,” said senior police officials.
The plying of two and four wheelers would be restricted between Mahilagram and Mundera Mandi on May 4 between 3pm and 11pm. Besides, roadways buses plied between Kanpur and Prayagraj would go through Nawabganj bypass route via Teliyarganj and Phaphamau between 3pm and 11pm.
Similarly, roadways buses arriving at Prayagraj from Fatehpur, Kaushambi and Kanpur would opt for Nawabganj bypass and Kokhraj bypass route to reach Civil Lines.
Moreover, police vehicles being brought for urban local body poll purpose would be parked at 4th battalion of PAC. Once this parking slot gets filled, other vehicles would be parked at Nehru park.
