Kanpur: Tarun Club outplayed Kanpur Cricketers Club by 4 wickets in KDMA league match held at the PAC ground on Saturday.
Kanpur Cricketers, batting first, scored 231 in 37.4 overs. Akash Trivedi and Ansh Chaudhary contributed 106 and 58 runs respectively. Mohd Asif and Mohd Sahim Hasan bagged 2 wickets each. Tarun Club in reply scored the required 232 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 35 overs. Vidit Joshi hit unbeaten 101 runs and played a significant role in his team’s victory.

Trials: Kanpur Cricket Association will conduct under-16 trials of its registered players for the selection of UPCA at the KDMA International School Barra on May 15. According to Dinesh Katiyar, general manager, the players whose names begin with A to P of the English alphabet will play on May 15 at 7.30 am while those whose names begin with R to Z will play on May 16. The trials of Kannauj and Kanpur Dehat players will also take place on May 16, he added.
