Kanpur: Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that measures will soon be taken to start air service from Kanpur to Delhi.
“Announcement of 59 new routes has already been made. Announcement with regard to 122 new routes will be made soon. We are planning to connect Kanpur with Pantnagar, Aligarh, Moradabad and Shravasti. There are currently 11 airports operating in the state, and 11 more will be started over the next three years. In total, Uttar Pradesh will get 22 new airports,” said Scindia while addressing a gathering on the occasion of the inauguration of the new terminal building of Kanpur Airport on Friday. tnn
