Under its public outreach program and as a goodwill gesture, Sashastra Seema Bal 10 Battalion Batmaloo organized a Medical Civic Action Program and awareness campaign in Srinagar on March 28. Doctors established a temporary clinic and distributed free medicine to the needy patients as part of the Medical Civic Action. Medical representatives of the Cancer Society of Srinagar were also roped in to create awareness among the locals about cancer and its line of treatments. Patients in huge numbers benefitted from this program. A ‘TB mukt India by 2025’ awareness camp was also organized as part of the program. Commandant, 10 Battalion SSB Sh. Rohitashwa while talking to ANI said, “We are committed to associating with the public and want to help poor patients who can’t afford to buy medicines and treatment. The patients who participated in this medical camp lauded this step taken by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).”
