Prayagraj: A 45-year-old woman identified as Sita Devi was found brutally murdered outside her house in Muradpur village under the limits of Pipri police station of Kaushambi district on Tuesday morning.
The body of the woman was found lying on a cot outside her house. Police have also detained two persons for quizzing.
Upon being alerted, senior police officials including SP (Kaushambi) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava along with police forces and forensic experts rushed to the spot and carried out investigations. SP told TOI that two police teams have been constituted to crack down the case.
SP said that domestic dispute was reason behind the killing.
The slain woman along with his three sons was living separately.
Police said that the unidentified killers had attacked woman with a sharp edge weapon with motive of killing only. The husband of woman died about three years back.
The case came to fore when locals spotted the body of woman lying in a pool of blood and informed family members who were sleeping inside the house. The woman used to sleep outside her house.
