Shyam Yadav: Man Held For Killing Woman In Trans-ganga | Allahabad News – Times of India



Prayagraj: Phaphamau police on Sunday claimed to have arrested the prime accused identified as Shyam Yadav (35), a resident of Rangpura village who was charged of killing of a woman in trans-Ganga area. Police also recovered an axe and a trowel which were used in the killing.
The accused was booked under section 302 of IPC. According to police, the accused had killed the old woman named as Kishlali (55), a resident of Rangpura village after being irked over her attitude for not supplying irrigation water to his field. The body of the woman was found near a field on May 2 and following which, an FIR under section 302 of IPC was registered.
The arrest of the accused was made on Sunday near Phaphamau Ganga bridge while planning to escape. Police said the slain woman Kishlali used to take care of tube well being installed for irrigation purpose. She used to offer irrigation water to other fields after charging money.
The accused had earlier taken the facility of irrigation from woman but failed to clear dues. The accused, as per police, was once again mounting pressure on old woman to give water for irrigation through her tube well but she was not ready to listen him due to pending dues.
An irritated Shyam Lal on May 2 found the woman alone near Rangpura kachar area and once again asked to supply irrigation water.
When the woman refused to entertain his demand, the accused in a fit of rage attacked the woman with axe and trowel and killed her on the spot.
