Varanasi: Another accused in Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey suicide case Sanjay Singh was arrested in a joint action of crime branch and Sarnath police on Wednesday evening. Additional commissioner of police Santosh Kumar Singh said after collection intelligence inputs regarding movement of Sanjay, crime branch and Sarnath police cordoned Azamgarh highway late afternoon. Sanjay was arrested from Azamgarh underpass of the ring-road under the limits of Sarnath police station. He added that legal formalities in this connection are in progress. After Akanksha’s body was found hanging inside her hotel room on March 26, her mother Madhu Singh had lodged an FIR under section 306 (abetment of suicide) against Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh and his friend Sanjay Singh with Sarnath police station on March 27. Samar was held from Ghaziabad on April 7.
