Prayagraj: For maintaining better law and order along with effective resource utilisation and strong social policing in the periphery, Raniganj and Lalganj circle offices and Lalganj police station of Pratapgarh district have been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certificate.
IG (Prayagraj range) Chandra Prakash told TOI, “This is a significant achievement for Pratapgarh police as this is the first time two circle offices and one police station of Prayagraj range have received the standard certificates.”
He added that the merits on which the certificate has been awarded also comprise time-bound and effective redressal of grievances through regular ‘jansunvayi’ (hearing of public complaints).
“Investigation of cases related to SC\ST, dowry death, corruption and staff complaints, supervision of police stations as per UP Police Regulation & CRPC 1973 and implementing administrative and ministerial departmental decision and directions have also contributed to the achievement of this recognition.”
Lalganj police station has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for maintenance of public peace, law and order in the area under police station territory, prevention, detection and investigation of crime and criminal activities, enforcing laws, apprehension of offenders, providing support, emergency response, VIP security and prevention of human trafficking.
Additional DG ( Prayagraj zone) Bhanu Bhaskar, meanwhile, congratulated Pratapgarh police on receiving ISO 9001:2015 certificate for its two circle office and Lalganj police station and claimed it was a big achievement for the police. He also said, “When a police station or circle office has good infrastructure, cleanliness, greenery, better functioning, digitalised records, proper sitting arrangement for visitors, potable water facility, and on the other hand the complainants’ grievances are received and attended well, it would can go a long way to change the public mindset and their faith in police”.
