PRAYAGRAJ: A 32-year-old woman was found murdered inside the CSA park, also known as company garden, under the limits of Colonelganj police station here on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Iram Hamid Siddiqui, a resident of Malviya Nagar.
The motive behind killing was still unknown. Body has been sent for post mortem examination.
Colonelganj police said the body of the woman was found lying near a mazar. Initial police investigations claimed that unknown killer had used bricks to kill woman.
Family members told police that slain woman along with her brother-in-law had come to school to drop her five-year-old son but she asked her brother in-law to go back home.
Once the school was over and no one turned up pick the minor boy, the school authorities called up the family and apprised that no one had come to pick up the boy.
When the family members called up on woman’s mobile, there was no response. The family members then arrived to pick up the boy and came to know that body of a woman was found inside the company garden located in front of the school. Police said investigations are on.
