Varanasi: A 12-year-old boy was killed and buried in Sujabad locality in Ramnagar area on Sunday. The police caught some people and recovered the body.
According to reports, Mohammad Anas, resident of Jaitpura area, went missing while playing outside his house on Saturday evening. His father Hafiz-ur-Rehman received a call around 9pm from some unknown caller, who said his son was with him, and was returning home. But, the boy did not return.
On the complaint of family members, police lodged a case of kidnapping under section 363 of IPC. DCP, Kashi zone, R S Gautam said the police caught some suspects for interrogation, during which, police came to know that the boy was strangled and his body was buried. The police sent the body for post mortem.
