In addition to its touch function, the infotainment screen will also offer voice commands and a range of intuitive controls to make the Comet’s driving experience more convenient. Furthermore, the interior will be finished in a trim-tone theme including black, beige and silver finishes. The steering will also have a two spoke design and feature physical buttons on either side to operate different functions.
The MG Comet EV is expected to be launched in two different battery packs of 20 kWh and 25 kWh. These are likely to offer claimed range firgures of between 150 km to 200 km on a full charge. It has also been reported that the battery packs will feature lightweight LFP (Lithium-iron Phosphate) chemistry that offers longer lifespan and lower discharge of energy. Once launched, the Comet will be the second fully electric offering from the automaker in India. Prices are expected to range between Rs 10 to Rs 11 lakh bracket.
