McLaren today launched the all-new Artura supercar in the Indian market at Rs 5.1 crore (ex-showroom). After the 720S and the GT, the McLaren Artura hybrid EV is the manufacturer’s third car model in India. The McLaren Artura will be brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and as a result, attracts over 100% import duty.

Based on the new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA), the McLaren Artura is the first model to gets an advanced chassis design, which has been specifically designed for hybrid applications, as per the carmaker. It has a kerb weight of 1,498 kg and a dry weight of 1,395 kg. Dimensionally, the McLaren Artura measures 4,539mm in length, 2,080mm in width and 1,193mm in height. McLaren Artura wheelbase is 2,640mm.
Talking about the exterior, the McLaren Artura boasts large air intakes behind the doors. Similar to the McLaren GT, the rear profile gets sleeker-looking tail-lamps. The supercar rides on 20-inch stylish alloy wheels.
As far as the interior is concerned, the McLaren cockpit gets a new digital instrument cluster mounted to the steering column, so it moves in conjunction with the steering wheel. Moreover, it features Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and smartphone mirroring.
At the heart, the McLaren Artura is propelled by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine, paired with a bespoke eight-speed transmission and a lithium-ion battery pack. The combined power output stands at 661 hp power and 720 Nm torque, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 481 hp per tonne. McLaren Artura is able to sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 3 seconds, with a top speed of 330 kmph.

The Artura gets four drive modes – E-mode, Comfort, Sport and Track. In EV mode, the supercar offers a range of up to 31 km and a top speed of 130 kmph. The battery can be charged from 0-80 percent in just 2.5 hours.
