Automobile companies have started unveiling the sales data for March. Last month’s figures were not good for the automobile giant Maruti Suzuki. In March, the company sold 1,57,500 vehicles. In March last year, this figure was 1,70,395 units, reports Live Hindustan.
The carmaker has suffered a loss of 8 per cent on an annual basis with sale deficit of 12,895 units . Maruti is about to launch its new mini SUV FRONX this month. At the same time, in May or June, it will also launch the off-road SUV Jimny. Here we present March month’s auto sales for other companies. Mahindra & Mahindra
In March 2023, Mahindra sold 65,100 vehicles with a 19 per cent annual increase. In March 2022, 54,643 units were ordered. Mahindra’s Scorpio and Bolero remained popular cars.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors gets an 11 per cent annual rise which expanded in March too. Last month, the company sold 47,000 vehicles in the domestic market. In March 2022, however, this figure was 42,293 units. That is, it increased by 11% year on year. During the same time frame, 4,707 additional units were sold. Nexon and Punch remained the most popular cars for Tata. MG Motor
For MG Motor India, the results from the previous month were the best during the last 12 months. The company sold 6,051 units last month, compared to 4,721 units in March 2022, having a 28 per cent annual increase. This month, MG will also begin selling its cost-effective Comet EV.
