Mainly, it offers so many premium features such as Level-1 ADAS, twin digital screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, seven airbags, leatherette seat upholstery, 3D sound system with 12 speakers and many more.
The SUV doesn’t just get good features, it is safe too. The XUV 700 was crash tested by GNCAP and it achieved a 5-star rating for adult protection and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection. The XUV 700 is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 200hp of power and 380Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The other engine is a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine which is offered with two states of tune. The lower state unit (reserved for the entry-level variant) produces 155hp and 360Nm, while the unit in higher variants produces 185hp and 420Nm and 450Nm with the automatic gearbox. Just like petrol, the diesel engine too is offered a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The diesel engine also comes with four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom. The 700 also gets AWD but only with the diesel engine.
