German Automaker Volkswagen launched the Virtus sedan in the Indian market in 2022. Since then it’s been a huge success and now the company has launched the India-made Virtus in the South African market. The Virtus goes by the name Polo Sedan and the car also gets different engine options with fewer features.

The Polo sedan is offered with two variants and a sole 1.6-litre NA MPi Petrol engine paired with a manual transmission. The sedan does not get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. Even the transmission options are limited to a 5-sped manual, with no automatic on offer. Volkswagen Virtus Review: Almost perfect!

As mentioned previously, the Polo sedan is powered by a 1.6-litre, NA petrol engine. This engine produces 110 PS of power and 153 Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual only. This is the same engine that used to power the discontinued Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento in the Indian market.
