The e:N Architecture is a front-wheel drive platform and Honda says that the chassis of e:Ny1 offers torsional rigidity and this has been achieved with the use of high tensile steel. In terms of design, the e:Ny1 looks similar to the HR-V. It gets sleek LED headlamps with a closed grille and a newly designed bumper. The EV gets a white-themed logo and it also gets unique multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, the EV gets a similar dashboard design to the HR-V. It gets a 15.1-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system with a digital instrument cluster. The EV gets a three-spoke steering wheel with multi-colour ambient lighting. Features include a panoramic sunroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a premium sound system, leather upholstery, steering-mounted controls, dual-zone AC and many more.
Now let’s talk about the battery and electric motor. The e:Ny1 gets a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a single electric motor which produces 201bhp of power and 310 Nm of torque. Honda claims that the EV can go up to 412 Km in one full charge and the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes.
