Honda Amaze to receive price hike from April 1: Details – Times of India

Honda Cars India is planning to increase the price of its compact sedan Amaze from April 1, 2023. The Honda Amaze will receive a price hike of up to Rs 12,000 owing to rising production cost and upcoming BS6 Phase 2 norms, states an official statement. The price hike will vary depending on the variant.
Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India told a media agency that, “We will increase Amaze prices by up to Rs 12,000 with effect from April 1 to factor in the rise in the production cost due to the upcoming stringent emission norms.”
Honda Amaze: Engine
Under the hood, the RDE and E20 compliant Honda Amaze will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, churning out a power output of 89 bhp and a max torque of 110 Nm. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed MT/CVT unit.
Meanwhile, the car manufacturer is expected to discontinue the WR-V, Jazz and the City 4th-gen from its portfolio in order to comply with the BS6 Phase 2 norms. Hence, Honda Cars India will be left with two cars in its India lineup, including the Amaze and the City.
