Gr Noida Will Soon Have 500 Hectares For Industrial Units | Noida News – Times of India



NOIDA: Around 55% of roughly 900 hectares has been acquired for developing 8 industrial sectors in Greater Noida so far. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) plans on purchasing another 23.5 hectares from farmers in the next 6 months.
The GNIDA officials said this purchase would add up to 500 hectares with a saleable land bank of 250 hectares by September 15 this year.
The 8 industrial sectors are being developed in Ecotech 7, 8, 9, 12A, 16, 19, 19A and 21 sectors. A decision to develop new sectors keeping in mind the demand for industrial land was taken in 2021. The Authority is buying land from over 20 villages to set up these sectors. These include Pauwari, Imeliaka, Atai, Muradpur, Luksar, Dadupur, Ladpura, Khanpur, Sirsa, Vaidpura, Jaun Samana, Sunpura, Bhola Rawal, Dhummanikpur, Khedi, Amka, Kirachpur, Kailashpur, Khodna Kala, Bhanauta and Khodna Khurd.
Among the 8 sectors, Ecotech 12 A is the largest—191 hectares, followed by Ecotech 9 (170 hectares), Ecotech 8 (161 hectares) and Ecotech 7 (109 hectares). The rest are in the range of 45 hectares to 84 hectares. The official data shows that of the 899.14 hectares, 476.76 hectares has been purchased so far, while 422.37 hectares is yet to be purchased.
Talking about the development plan for the acquired land, an official said, “The planning and development of 476.76 hectares of land besides purchasing of 23.5 hectares of land will be done in the next six months.”
Notably, about Rs 231 crore has been allocated under the Gati Shakti scheme for the development of two of these industrial sectors— Ecotech 8 and 9. The total cost of developing these two sectors is about Rs 1350 crore. In addition, Rs 160.4 crore has been sanctioned for developing the existing Sector Ecotech 10.
Officials said that companies that have signed MoUs for investments would be allotted land.
Currently, GNIDA has 368 hectares of land available, and has distributed over 630 plots in various categories like industrial, commercial, institutional, IT/ITES, group housing and residential. Of this, 70 are cancelled plots, measuring 144 hectares.
