PRAYAGRAJ: The UP Board high school and intermediate results declared on Tuesday shows that class 10 students of self-financed (private) institutions have performed well in comparison to their government and government-aided counterparts whereas in class 12, it is the government schools where the overall pass percentage is higher, reports Rajeev Mani.
In terms of class 10 results, the passing percentage of students from self-finance institutions was 91.42%, from government schools it was 87.65% and government aided it was 87%. The overall pass percentage of class 10th was 89.78%.
In class 12, 77.42% students from government institutions clear the exam while 74.13% of government aided and 74.6% of self-finance were declared successful.
The overall pass percentage of class 12 was 75.52%. In class 10, students from 2355 government schools and 4509 aided schools and 20737 private schools appeared in the exams. In comparison, students from 845 government schools, 4070 aided schools and 13070 private school appeared in the class 12 exams.
