Gorakhpur bagged Rs 12,000 crore projects in 1st year of Yogi Adityanath’s 2nd term | Varanasi News – Times of India



GORAKHPUR: Gorakhpur bagged over Rs 12,000 crore development projects in the first year of the second tenure of chief minister Yogi Government.
For world class infrastructural development and civic facilities, a big share of the fund went to projects related to road connectivity, water purifying and drainage. CM Yogi became chief minister again in March 2022 and since May 2022, he continued to give gifts of development to Gorakhpur.
During the last one year, several development projects were inaugurated and foundation stone was laid for many others in the presence of CM Yogi.
As per official sources, 61 development projects worth Rs 33.16 crore were inaugurated on May 15 and foundation stone was laid for 21 projects worth Rs 111.33 crore. On the same day, he opened and laid the foundation stone for Rs 144 crore infrastructural development projects.
On July 12, CM Yogi inaugurated Rs 299 crore-181 projects and laid foundation for Rs 165 crore-27 development projects. On July 14, he inaugurated Mansarover temple built at a cost of Rs 6.01 crore and Mansarover Ramlila maidan beautification work of Rs 1.64 crore. On August 3, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 422 development projects worth Rs 125 crore.
On August 18, CM inaugurated the 194 crore-bridge at Kamariya Ghat and on September 26, CM Yogi inaugurated Rs 10.16 crore Mahant Avaidyanath stadium and Rs 5.80 crore auditorium. On October 18, Yogi inaugurated and laid stone of Nagar Nigam development projects worth Rs 215.97 crore and laid foundation of Rs 62.84 crore development work of GDA.
On October 19, he inaugurated Rs 2.12 crore-Nagar Panchayat Sangrampur aka Unwal building and Rs 20.27 crore Unwal bypass road.
While celebrating Diwali On October 24 with Vantangia and Mushar community people, the CM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 288 development projects worth Rs 80 crore.
On November 5, the CM inaugurated BRD medical college main gate and laid the foundation of a double seated 100 rooms Pharmacy and nursing college hostel . On November 27, he laid the foundation of Rs 1822 crore for four main projects which include Rs 474.42 crore Gordhaiya nulla and Ramgarhtal renovation and interception of Nulla. He laid foundation of Rs 561.34 crore sewerage project, Rs 96.5 crore jail bypass road and flyover at Khajanchi Chauraha, Rs 689.35 crore Bhathat to Bans-sthan road four lane widening and beautification work.
On November 30, He inaugurated/foundation laid 49 development works of Rs 260 crore including plastic park at sector 28 GIDA, flatted factory in sector 13, 132 KV electric power substation and power substation at Bhiti Rawat.
On December 4 , CM Yogi laid foundation of Rs 950 crore four projects including six lane flyover from TP Nagar to Padley Ganj, Deoria bypass four lane widening and strengthening work, four lane widening and strengthening work from Ramgahtal Naukayan to Deoria bypass road and interception, diversion and treatment project of Katnia/Mahewa Nulla that goes to River Rapti.
On 13 March , CM Yogi and Union minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated four lane widening and strengthening work of Rs323 crore, Rs 94 crore Partawal charaha-Bhaurabari road, Rs 70 crore Bangali tola-Barnaha Purab patti road, Rs 38 crore Kuin Bazar-Gola road, Rs 2700 crore Sonouli-jungle Kaudia four-lane, Rs 2100 crore four-lane greenfield Gorakhpur bypass, among other projects.
On March 6, the chief minister inaugurated IPCU at Jungle Kaudia and Chagawan (Khuthan) CHC.
In the budget 2023-24, Rs 200 crore was allocated for industrial corridor on both sides of Gorakhpur Link Expressway and Rs 650.10 crore for land requisition for Gordhaiya Nulla project and Rs 10.44 crore for rural stadium at BholaRam Maskara Inter College campus.
