Varanasi: Former Indian President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Varanasi on Thursday to attend a function being organised by the Inter University Centre for Teacher Education (IUCTE), Banaras Hindu University, on Friday.
IUCTE director Prof. Prem Narayan Singh said that a two-day national seminar on ‘emerging challenges in higher education before the academic world’ will be held on Friday and Saturday.
He said that the President will attend the inaugural function of the seminar, and UGC chairman Prof. Dhirendra Pal Singh will attend the valedictory ceremony. Five main and 21 sub-themes will be discussed in the seminar, he added.
