MUMBAI: For the second time a week, a moving vehicle caught fire on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway at Palghar on Saturday. No injuries were reported even as the private bus was charred.
The fire was noticed by the driver and all passengers alighted safely before the bus went up in flames at Manor. The fire brigade personnel reached the spot. Movement of vehicles was halted for a while.
On Wednesday, a car carrier container went up in flames on the highway at Palghar. The driver noticed the flames and parked the vehicle along the road side. Eight cars were damaged. No injuries were reported in the incident.
