LUCKNOW: At least five people were killed whereas 10 others suffered injuries after a tipper truck rammed into an auto in UP’s Bahraich district on Friday.
The victims were returning from a “Tilak” ceremony. The accident took place in the Kaiserganj police station area of the district. Police said that the identities of the victims were yet to be ascertained.
SHO, Kaiserganj, Daddan Singh, said that the accident took place at around 3am.
“The victims were returning home from a ceremony when the accident took place on Lucknow-Bahraich road near a private hospital,” said Singh.
The injured were admitted to the district hospital.
