Expectations soar as Yogi Adityanath govt hits a six | Varanasi News – Times of India



VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that Yogi Adityanath has created history by becoming the first CM of Uttar Pradesh to complete six consecutive years in office, adding that the state is setting new benchmarks of development in every sector under his leadership.
“The Yogi Adityanath government will complete the first year of its second term on Saturday. Yogi has already created a new record of being the longest serving Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh without any break,” the PM said while praising Yogi during a public meeting at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University ground in Varanasi.
“Uttar Pradesh is setting new benchmark of development in all the sectors under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath. The state has emerged from the shadows of disappointment and treading the path of its aspirations and expectations. As security strengthens and conveniences increase, there is bound to be prosperity. New development projects will further strengthen the path of prosperity,” he said.
He also highlighted the reconstruction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham which has increased tourist footfall. The Prime Minister said that the government at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh was committed to serving the poor. “It is the effort of the government to promote natural farming in a stretch of 5km on both sides of the Ganga.
Phase-1 of the redevelopment of Sigra Stadium started last year. Today, the foundation for second and third phase has been laid. Due to this, modern facilities of different sports and hostels will be developed here. An International Cricket Stadium is also going to be built in Varanasi,” the PM said.
