Criminals Now Dare Not Walk With Effrontery In Up, Says Yogi | Kanpur News – Times of India

KANPUR: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the criminals in the state now dare not walk with effrontery. “Before 2017, there was an atmosphere of fear and terror in UP, but in the last six years, the atmosphere of the state has changed. Mafia who had a free run in 2017 are now begging for their life,” said the CM while addressing a gathering at Ram Lila Maidan in Unnao in support of the party’s municipal body election candidates.
He said, “Before 2017, extortion was collected from traders, today they are being benefited from PM Swanidhi. Before 2017, there was terror of goons and molesters, today safe cities are being made. Earlier, there were heaps of garbage. Today our cities are getting smart. Now, there is no place for crime and corruption in UP.”
The CM also said that before 2017, people associated with a particular party used to have pistols in their hands, but today the youths of the state have tablets in their hands. He said that Uttar Pradesh is not anyone’s legacy.
“Our government gives assurance of security to every citizen of the state and there is no place for criminals in the state,” said the CM. Yogi added, “We’ve arranged things in such a way that now the mafia is walking to the police stations with placards begging for their lives.”
