Prayagraj: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday lashed out at Congress for promising a ban on Bajrang Dal in its election manifesto during Karnataka state assembly election and said the grand old party “has no power to ban Bajrang Dal and Bajrangbali”.
“Bajrang Dal aur Bajrangbali par pratibandh lagana Congress ke bas ki baat nahin. Congress still believes in Muslim appeasement and bothers Hindu community across the country,” he said while after casting his vote at Maharshi Valmiki Intermediate college here on Thursday.
Maurya along with his wife Raj Kumari arrived at the booth and exercised their franchise.
“Congress had always attempted to make Hindu community people as second-class citizens and created trouble for them. It was handiwork of Congress to keep Article 370 and Lord Ramlala in locks,” he said.
He claimed that country was progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said apart from construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, restoration of many other Hindu temples is on the cards.
Maurya also slammed Congress for comparing a patriotic organisation like Bajrang Dal with banned outfit PFI.
He claimed that Congress was suffering from mental sickness.
The Deputy CM also hit at Samajawadi Party and said: “SP is synonymous with hooliganism (gundagardi) and the party has turned a haven for law breakers.”
Maurya also claimed that BJP would win all 17 municipal corporations.
