Cbse: ‘letter Claiming Cbse Results On May 11 Fake’ | Allahabad News – Times of India



PRAYAGRAJ: Lakhs of students and their parents, who are eagerly awaiting the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) classes 10 and 12 results, were taken for a ride on Wednesday when a letter was shared on several WhatsApp groups stating that the results would be declared on May 11.
The letter, which also mentioned a website where the students could check their results, soon went viral with students, teachers and principals of affiliated schools making desperate efforts to confirm the news.

However, CBSE quickly announced that the letter bearing the forged signature of director (academics), CBSE, Joseph Emmanuel, was fake.
Sources at CBSE told TOI that the results are in the final stage of preparation and is expected to be declared this week. “CBSE never declares the date of results in advance. But we would like to tell that the process of preparing the results of both the classes is in the final stages and would be announced very soon,” regional officer (RO), CBSE, Prayagraj, Lalit K Kapil said.
The fake letter also took the CBSE officials for a ride as all schools started calling them to confirm the news.
The examinations were conducted in February-March-April 2023.
Earlier, in 2000 too such a fake letter bearing forged signature of secretary CBSE, Anurag Tripathi, was circulated to students prompting the CBSE to issue a clarification terming it as fake.
