Varanasi: SPIRIT’23, the annual techno-pharma fest of IIT (BHU) attracted participants from across the country. The two-fay fest was organised by the department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology on April 1 and 2 with an objective to provide a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and innovation in the pharmaceutical field.
The fest started with a poster presentation, where students displayed their research and projects related to Bioinformatics, Tumor biology, Pharmacology, Drug discovery and more. The participants showcased their innovative ideas, which were highly appreciated by the judges.
The highlight of the first day was the guest lecture by Pushpendra Patel, an eminent teacher and a YouTuber. In an interactive session with Kalol Chattopadhyay, an expert bio-pharmaceutical executive, he shared his experience and knowledge about the industry and discussed career paths in pharma and biotech. It was followed by a guest lecture by Prateep Menon, who enlightened students about financial management in biopharmaceuticals. Menon discussed financial challenges faced by the industry and how to manage finances effectively. The Day 2 started with session by Saravanan Nandagopal on Tumor biology followed by an online panel discussion . tnn
