Bhu: Bhu Team Runner-up In Moot Court At Ap College | Varanasi News – Times of India



Varanasi: The team representing Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University was adjudged runner-up in the first CCI-VSL National Moot Court Competition on Competition Law organised at VIT Vellore School of Law, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh from April 15 to 17.
According to the BHU spokesperson the event was organised in collaboration with Competition Commission of India. A total of 78 teams had participated out of which only 26 teams were advanced to oral rounds after the scrutiny of the memorial selection round.
The team representing the Faculty of Law, BHU comprised Devansh Sharma of 4th year, Saumya Tripathi of 3rd year and Palak Nain of 3rd year beat several teams in the competition.
The BHU team was adjudged runner-up by the bench composed of Justice G. Raghuram, director of the National Judicial Academy and former judge High Court of Andhra Pradesh), Justice M. Satyanarayan Murthy, former Judge High Court of Andhra Pradesh) and Dr. KD Singh, director of the Competition Commission of India.
The team was given a trophy and cash prize of Rs 70,000. tnn
