LUCKNOW: “Allah ki cheez thi, Allah ne le li (he belonged to Allah and Allah took him back).” This is how gangster Atiq Ahmad’s brother Khalid Azeem alias Ashraf reacted on Friday evening responding to media queries on the killing of his nephew Asad in an police encounter in Jhansi.
Atiq and Ashraf, who are presently in the custody of Dhoomanganj police for questioning in the Umesh Pal murder case, were being taken to Colvin hospital in Prayagraj on Friday evening for medical examination when they were intercepted by journalists.

While Atiq maintained a studied silence to all questions thrown at him by reporters regarding their involvement in the Umesh Palmurder case, Ashraf gave a short reply before police whisked them away.
