Anwarganj Traders’ Losses To Be Assessed, Says Nandi | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: Cabinet minister for industrial development, export promotion, NRI, investment promotion Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, who reached the city on Tuesday, said in this hour of trouble, his party is supporting the readymade garments traders, whose shops were gutted in the Anwarganj Bansmandi fire last week.
He said as soon as the fire broke out, no effort was spared to extinguish the fire. “All senior officers came forward and help was sought from nearby districts too, yet the fire caused a lot of damage. Our government is with the traders in this hour of trouble and their loss is being assessed,” the minister added.
On the question of fielding a mayor from the OBC category from Kanpur, Nandi said, “It’s the party that decides who will contest from where and for which post. Everyone in the organisation is free to air his/her views, but the final call will be taken by the high command.”
He said BJP members don’t show up only at the time of elections. “BJP workers remain active always and reach out to serve people,” he said.
On the Umesh Pal murder case, Nandi said the government has left no stone unturned to nab the culprits. “Not a single accused involved in the murder will be spared. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is taking strict action against them,” he said.
The Minister in charge also reached the house of the party’s district president (South) Bina Arya and district president (North) Sunil Bajaj.
Chief secretary Durgashankar Mishra, who was also on a visit to the city on Tuesday, said traders of the Anwarganj Bansmandi fire should be shifted to other markets as soon as possible. “Also, they should be helped in procuring loans from banks under other schemes including Mudra Yojana,” he said. Mishra, gave these instructions to divisional Commissioner Rajshekhar and district magistrate Vishak G Iyer.
