Varanasi: Popular Bhojpuri film star Akanksha Dubey, 25, was found dead in her hotel room in Sarnath area of the city on Sunday morning. She was shooting in the city for her forthcoming film and had returned to her room at Sumendra Residency hotel at 1.55 am after attending a birthday bash on Saturday night.
Her body was found in a sitting position on the bed with her stole (dupatta) wrapped around her neck when the door of her hotel room was broken open by police at 10 am on Sunday. She was live on Instagram, where she has 1.7 million followers, at 2.25 am on Sunday where she can be seen sobbing. However, in her last Insta post on Saturday, she is gyrating to a Bhojpuri number and appears normal.
