Actress’ Mother Seeks Early Arrest Of Accused | Varanasi News – Times of India



Varanasi: Madhu Dubey, the mother of Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey who allegedly committed suicide in a city hotel the city recently, reached the Sarnath police station along with her supporters on Friday demanding an immediate arrest of the accused in the matter. Akanksha was found dead in her room at Sumendra Residency hotel in Sarnath area on March 26 morning. Her mother lodged an FIR against Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh and his brother Sanjay Singh under section 306 (abetment of suicide) on March 27.
She alleged that Akanksha worked with Samar for the past three years but he did not pay a single penny to her. She further alleged that whenever Akanksha demanded her payment Samar tortured her and he also harassed her whenever she tried to work with other artistes.
Both the accused are on the run. Additional commissioner of police (crime and headquarters) Santosh Kumar Singh told TOI, “The process of a lookout notice against the accused has been initiated.”
