Varanasi: Before the torch relay of Khelo India University Games-2023 entered the district, additional chief secretary (sports) Navneet Sehgal reviewed the preparations for the wrestling and yoga events to be hosted in Varanasi from May 26 to June 3.
He asked the officials to ensure that no participant athlete gets stranded in traffic jams and directed for deployment of a medical team with beds at the event venue. Emergency numbers should be displayed at the event venue and places of stay of participants, he said and also asked to ensure placing of signage for the convenience of participants. Closing ceremony of the event will take place at IIT-BHU on June 3, he added. tnn
