Prayagraj: Abdul Wali, the elder brother of Atiq gang sharp shooter Abdul Kavi and wanted in connection with several criminal cases, including arms act, was arrested by Kaushambi police on Thursday.
Wali, a resident of Bhakanda village, was arrested near Minhajpur of the district while he was going to surrender in a court. He was carrying Rs 15,000 cash reward on his head.
Abdul Kavi, wanted in 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case, had recently surrendered in CBI court in Lucknow.
Earlier in March, the Kaushambi police had arrested another brother of Abdul Kavi, Abdul Qadir on the charges of keeping illegal firearms in his house.
