Jailbirds Excel In Up Board, Class 10 Pass Percentage Rises | Allahabad News – Times of India



Prayagraj: Inmates of 25 prisons, including three central jails in Naini (Prayagraj), Varanasi and Bareilly, have excelled in UP Board’s high school and intermediate examination-2023, the results for which were declared on Tuesday.
These inmates recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.16% in class 10 and 69.23% in class 12— a rise of 2.93% in high school and a 1.6% dip in intermediate as compared to 2022.
A total of 79 inmates had registered for class 10 while 90 had registered for class 12. Of this, 127 appeared in the two exams, including 62 in class 10 and 65 in class 12.
A total of 59 were declared successful in high school while in intermediate 45 prisoners passed.
In high school, Ghaziabad and Hardoi jail had maximum of 12 inmates registered for the exam while for intermediate exams Ghaziabad jail had maximum of 17 inmates.
