Tanya Of Kanpur Selected In State Under-17 Girls’ Chess Team | Kanpur News – Times of India



Kanpur: Tanya Verma of Kanpur has been selected in the state under-17 girls chess team to participate in the national championship.
Tanya emerged as runners up in the state-level selection tournament held at Noida Educational Academy from April 14 to April 16. As many as 65 players from all over the state had participated in the event. The boys event was held in 7 rounds and the girls played five rounds, said Dilip Srivastava, secretary, Kanpur Chess Association.

Boys-1. Prithvi Singh (Lkw- 6.5 pts), 2. Ajay Santosh (Noida 6 pts) 3. Harshit Singh (Noida – 5.5 pts) Girls-1. Shubhi Gupta (Ghzb- 5 pts), 2. Tanya Verma (Knp- 4 pts), 3. Sanchita Yadav (Prayagraj-3.5 pts).
