Yet another test mule of the upcoming new Royal Enfield Himalayan has been spied on test, revealing its exhaust note as well as a few other styling elements. The exhaust note sounds slightly softer than the current-gen Himalayan, but seems to retain the throaty character. The prototype also reveals the rear LED turn indicators, a new rear rack, and new dual-purpose tyres, which appear slightly more road-biased than the ones seen on the current model.
While the current-gen Himalayan makes use of a 411 cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled engine, the new Himalayan will likely be equipped with a larger 450 cc liquid-cooled unit, putting out around 40 hp of power and 45 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Himalayan 450 will also likely get new LED headlamp, a new digital instrument cluster, upside-down front forks, a redesigned muffler, a new fuel tank, and more.

Royal Enfield currently retails the Himalayan at a starting price of Rs 2.16 lakh, going up to Rs 2.28 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). However, the introduction of the new Himalayan 450 will certainly result in a price hike.
