Varanasi: The peak summer heat may be keeping everyone off the city streets, but it is no deterrent for devotees queueing outside the Kashi Vishwanath Temple as arrangements are in place to ensure their protection against the weather.
“We had made arrangements for all seasons since the opening of KVD in December 2021 and in the summer of 2022, we introduced Garman hangers to provide shade to those standing in queue, besides mats to protect their feet from blistering on hot floors, air coolers, drinking water, etc,” said Sunil Verma, chief executive officer of Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
“As hot weather conditions head to extreme, all the arrangements for protection of pilgrims have been re-introduced on the KV Dham campus”, said Verma. tnn
