Prayagraj: Panic gripped Leader road and adjoining areas under the limits of Shahganj police station on Tuesday morning when two SUVs, parked outside a city based hotel, caught fire under mysterious circumstances. Two fire tenders were immediately called in to douse the flames. SUVs were partially damaged in the fire. No one was hurt in the incident. Chief Fire Officer (Prayagraj) RK Pandey told TOI that the incident took place at 8:38 am when two SUVs caught fire under mysterious circumstances when their respective owners were in theit hotel rooms.
CFO, however, said, “Though exact reason behind the fire was yet to be ascertained, initial investigation indicate towards short circuit”. Further investigations are on. SUV owners were from Delhi and Jharkhand.tnn
