On the other hand, a huge number of supporters congratulated BJP candidate Dr Manglesh Srivastav and started celebrating the victory in a grand manner.
This is the third time when Kajal Nishad lost the election. In 2012, she contested in the assembly elections on Congress ticket from Gorakhpur rural seat and lost. In 2021 she joined SP and contested for the same seat in 2022 and lost the elections. In 80 wards of Gorakhpur, BJP won 41 seats, S seats, BSP 5 seats and Congress only 1 seat.
